Yarn-Dyed Blue Cashmere โ Richer, Deeper, More Lasting
The deep navy, royal blue, sky blue, teal, and midnight shades in this collection are achieved by dyeing the raw yarn before weaving โ a labour-intensive process that creates far greater colour depth and long-term fastness than piece-dyeing finished fabric after the fact.
Each colour is individually hand-dyed in Srinagar using azo-free dyes, then woven into cloth over four to seven days on a traditional pit loom. No two pieces are identical; slight tonal variation is a mark of authenticity, not a flaw.

We carry thirteen blue shades in 100% cashmere: Dark Navy, Navy, Midnight Blue, Royal Blue, Cobalt, French Blue, Denim Blue, Cornflower Blue, Sky Blue, Baby Blue, Teal, Duck Egg Blue, and Petrol Blue. Every shade is available in three sizes โ Stole, Shawl, and Large Square Scarf. If you are unsure between shades, we are happy to send real-life photographs in natural light before you order.
Our Dark Navy is very close to black โ it reads as navy only in bright daylight. Our Navy is the classic mid-depth navy blue โ the most universally flattering and most popular shade in this collection. Midnight Blue sits between the two: it has more blue than Dark Navy but is deeper than Navy, with a slightly cooler, slate-like undertone. If you are buying as a gift and are unsure, Navy is the safe choice.
Our blues are yarn-dyed before weaving, which means the dye penetrates the fibre rather than sitting on the surface of the finished cloth. This gives significantly better long-term colour fastness than piece-dyeing. We use azo-free dyes throughout. With proper cold-water hand washing and flat drying away from direct sunlight, your blue cashmere scarf will hold its colour for many years.

Very much so. Navy and dark navy cashmere scarves are among our best-selling mens pieces โ the Stole size (70 ร 200 cm) worn as a neck scarf or the Shawl size (100 ร 200 cm) folded as a larger wrap. Royal blue, denim blue, and teal are also popular with male customers. Cashmere has no gender โ it is the finest natural fibre available, and blue in particular is as at home in a mans wardrobe as a womans.
The Stole (70 ร 200 cm, ~100g) is our classic neck scarf โ lightweight and easy to wear looped or draped. The Shawl (100 ร 200 cm, ~180g) is our most popular size โ large enough to use as a full shoulder wrap, a travel blanket, or a lightweight layer over eveningwear. The Large Square Scarf (137 ร 137 cm, ~180g) is the most versatile for multiple tying styles. If in doubt, the Shawl is the best all-round choice.
Dry cleaning is the safest option. For hand washing, use cold water and a small amount of baby shampoo or specialist wool wash โ gently press and squeeze, never rub. Roll in a clean towel to remove excess water, then lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight or heat. Never wring, tumble dry, or hang wet cashmere. Store folded in a breathable cotton bag. Properly cared for, a cashmere scarf softens and improves with every wash and will last for decades.
