Dark navy sits at the deepest end of the blue spectrum — authoritative enough for boardroom dressing and refined enough to complement evening wear. This dark navy cashmere scarf, sometimes described simply as a navy cashmere scarf, carries a depth of colour that lighter blues cannot achieve. In ultra-fine cashmere measuring just 14–16 microns, the rich navy tone develops a quiet luminosity, giving the scarf a refined elegance that works equally well with tailoring or formal evening wear. It is one of our most requested colours year-round and consistently the first choice for customers purchasing their first luxury cashmere scarf.
Each Dark Navy Cashmere Pashmina Scarf is handwoven in Kashmir from 100% pure cashmere, sourced from the soft undercoat of Himalayan Changthangi goats. Skilled artisans in Kashmir weave every scarf on traditional wooden looms using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a remarkably soft, lightweight and breathable fabric that offers exceptional warmth without bulk.
Our navy pashmina scarf is available in three versatile sizes to suit different styling needs. Choose a rectangular Dark Navy Cashmere Scarf for everyday wear, a Dark Navy Cashmere Shawl or travel wrap that provides extra warmth during colder months or flights, or a large square cashmere scarf that can be styled elegantly as an evening wrap.
The deep navy tone — often described as a dark blue cashmere scarf — pairs effortlessly with grey coats, camel overcoats, black tailoring and winter wardrobes. Whether worn loosely over a coat, wrapped as a travel shawl or draped as an evening accessory, this handwoven Kashmiri cashmere scarf offers timeless style and understated luxury.
Every scarf is backed by our "No Questions Asked" authenticity guarantee, ensuring you receive a genuine Kashmir cashmere pashmina scarf crafted using the finest natural fibres and traditional craftsmanship.

Why Kashmir Cashmere is in a Class of Its Own
Not all cashmere is equal. The finest in the world comes from the Changthangi goat — a breed native to the high-altitude plateau of Ladakh, where winter temperatures drop to −40°C and the animals develop an exceptionally fine, warm undercoat to survive. It is this undercoat, hand-combed each spring, that becomes Kashmir cashmere.
The average diameter of a Kashmir cashmere fibre is 14–16 microns — half the width of the finest Mongolian cashmere sold in most luxury brands. That fineness is what makes a Pure Kashmir scarf feel soft against bare skin, light enough to fold into a coat pocket, and warm enough to wear in a New York winter.
Every scarf is woven on a traditional handloom by a single weaver in Srinagar, then individually dyed using azo-free dyes.

This is 100% genuine Changthangi cashmere from Kashmir — not a blended pashmina, not viscose, not acrylic. The fibre is hand-combed from Changthangi goats raised at altitude on the Ladakhi plateau and woven into cloth in Srinagar by master weavers. Every scarf ships with a certificate of authenticity.
Three sizes: Stole (70 × 200 cm / 27 × 79 in, ~100g) — a classic lightweight neck scarf. Shawl (100 × 200 cm / 40 × 79 in, ~180g) — our most popular size, ideal as a travel wrap or shoulder shawl. Large Square (137 × 137 cm / 54 × 54 in, ~180g) — the most versatile for wrapping and draping. All sizes are available in over 50 hand-dyed colours.
Dry cleaning is the safest option. If you hand wash, use cold water with a small amount of baby shampoo or mild wool wash — never rub, only gently press and squeeze. Roll in a clean towel to remove excess water, then lay flat to dry away from direct heat or sunlight. Never wring, tumble dry, or hang wet. Store folded in a breathable cotton bag. With proper care, a cashmere scarf softens with every wash and lasts decades.
Some light pilling in the first few wears is normal for all natural cashmere — it is a sign of genuine fibre, not poor quality. Loose fibres that have not yet integrated into the weave work their way to the surface with use and washing. Simply remove pills with a cashmere comb or fabric shaver. After the first few wears, pilling stops and the fabric becomes smoother and softer.
Kashmir cashmere is approximately 8 times warmer than sheep's wool by weight due to the insulating hollow-core structure of each fibre. A 100g Stole provides noticeably more warmth than a wool scarf twice its weight. This makes it ideal for cold US winters — light enough to wear indoors, warm enough to use as your only scarf outside in temperatures above about 20°F.
Yes, for most people. Kashmir cashmere at 14–16 microns is fine enough not to trigger the itch response that coarser wools cause (which begins at around 30 microns). Our scarves are dyed with azo-free dyes, reducing chemical irritants. If you have a diagnosed wool allergy (lanolin sensitivity), cashmere is a different protein and many people with wool sensitivity wear cashmere comfortably — though individual reactions vary.

Yes. We offer a no-questions-asked money-back guarantee on the authenticity of every scarf we sell. Each cashmere pashmina scarf is handwoven in Kashmir from 100% pure cashmere and carefully inspected before dispatch to ensure it meets our standards for genuine Kashmiri craftsmanship. Because every scarf is handmade on traditional looms, slight variations in weave, texture, or finish may occur. These small irregularities are a natural characteristic of authentic handwoven cashmere and are part of what makes each scarf unique. However, if you have any concerns about the authenticity of your cashmere scarf, simply contact us and we will provide a full refund with no questions asked. Our goal is to ensure every customer receives a genuine Kashmiri cashmere pashmina scarf and is completely confident in its authenticity. Please see our Delivery & Returns page for full terms.
